The National Association of Community Health Centers are local, non-profit, community-owned organizations providing health care for low-income and medically under-served areas. They are located in under-served areas and improve access to care for millions of Americans regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. They serve as a major source of information, data and research on key issues affecting community-based health centers and the delivery of health care for the medically underserved and uninsured in America. They provide education, training, technical assistance and leadership development to health center staff, boards and others to promote excellence and cost-effectiveness in health delivery practice and community board governance.
Stop by our booth #417 and visit with Public Health Foundation staff. We will be demonstrating "The Guide to Community Preventive Services" which is a free resource to help you choose programs and policies to improve health and prevent disease in your community.
