Join the Public Health Foundation (PHF) at the 2023 Public Health Learning Forum and TRAIN Learning Network Annual Meeting! The meeting will be held October 16-19, 2023, in Richmond, Virginia. Training and tools will be provided to support public health workforce development, build governmental public health workforce capacity, and assist with the effective use of the TRAIN Learning Network (TRAIN). Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in topics addressing health equity, academic health department partnerships, Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals, Racial Justice Competencies, recruitment and retention, building training plans, and more.
The theme for this year's meeting is Rebuilding the Public Health Workforce, and features two learning tracks:

Description: Join the HRSA-funded Regional Public Health Training Centers to learn about the Racial Justice Competency Model for Public Health Professionals and explore ways that this tool can be used by public health agencies and course providers. Background on the competency model development process and information about how over 2,600 practitioners plan to use these competencies will be provided. A newly developed implementation toolkit and examples from organizations participating in the project's pilot-testing phase will be highlighted.
Addressing America's Public Health Workforce Shortage Through Public Health AmeriCorps

Addressing Health Equity Through Public Health Accreditation

For example, the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) under Domain 8 requires the agency to conduct an equity assessment.
