​The Public Health Foundation (PHF) supports National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW), an annual observance reminding public health practitioners, healthcare providers, and families that it’s not too late for everyone 6 months and older to get a flu vaccine. This week-long observance, sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), will take place December 1-7, 2019.

PHF encourages CDC’s flu recommendations year-round by distributing Flu Resources, providing CDC’s webinar archive #HowIRecommend Flu Vaccine: How to Make Recommendations that Matter to Patients, and offering influenza courses on TRAIN.

PHF is supporting NIVW by:

• Sharing information with stakeholders through e-mail
• Posting social media messages on the importation of flu vaccination
• Distributing Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases, 13th Edition (The Pink Book) and other educational materials that provide comprehensive information on flu vaccination
