Feedback Invited on Proposed Version 2022 of PHAB Standards & Measures

Version 2022 of the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) Standards & Measures for national public health department accreditation is now available for feedback. PHAB is seeking input from the public health field on the proposed Version 2022. Your input is crucial to ensuring this version reflects the changing landscape of public health practice and incorporates important feedback from public health practitioners. Feedback is welcome through November 5, 2021 and will be used to develop the final Version 2022, which will be released early next year. To share your feedback, please visit the PHAB website, which includes a full draft of the Standards & Measures, as well as instructions for completing the feedback survey. You may elect to review all or part of the Standards & Measures.

New Community Guide Resources Available

Two new resources to support decision-makers, researchers, and funders in using The Community Guide are now available. A new Methods Manual for Community Guide Systematic Reviews provides the systematic review methods for assessing the effectiveness and economic evidence that serves as the basis for Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) findings and recommendations. A new insufficient evidence findings resource provides ways that public health researchers and funders can use insufficient evidence findings issued by CPSTF to develop research proposals and funding announcements. Visit The Community Guide website for these and other resources to improve health and prevent disease.
