Get Smart About Antibiotics Week
November 17-23, 2014
President Obama recently issued an executive order to combat antibiotic-resistant bacteria in the United States. In an effort to support antibiotic stewardship, the Public Health Foundation (PHF) is promoting Get Smart About Antibiotics Week, sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
This event is an annual effort to coordinate the work of CDC's Get Smart: Know When Antibiotics Work campaign, state-based appropriate antibiotic use campaigns, non-profit partners, and private sector partners during a one week observance of the importance of appropriate antibiotic use.
PHF is also featuring some resources and training designed to improve antibiotic stewardship. |
