At the 2014 TRAIN Affiliate Consortium (TAC) Annual Meeting, the Public Health Foundation's TRAIN Team announced the TRAIN Course Providers’ Listserv. Created in partnership with CDC TRAIN, part of the TRAIN network, the TRAIN Course Provider Listserv is a forum for providers of training who participate in TRAIN to interact and communicate with one another, share resources, and build upon the knowledge of other providers.
TRAIN, the nation’s premier learning network for professionals who protect the public’s health, reaches over 800,000 professionals and serves nearly 4,000 organizations that use TRAIN to disseminate their training opportunities. In addition to delivering training, TRAIN Course Providers can, at no cost, collect feedback, conduct pre- and post-tests, and award certificates. The TRAIN network allows health professionals across disciplines to build a single, unified transcript of competency-based courses across providers offering web-based, classroom-based, and other learning formats.
The TRAIN Course Providers’ Listserv is conversational and allows subscribers to share information and resources, seek advice, and learn from the experiences of others. The listserv is not restricted to current TRAIN providers, but is open to all interested individuals and organizations, including those who may become providers in the future. To become a Course Provider on TRAIN, watch the instructional video or sign up for the live webinar.
PHF invites state, tribal, local, and territorial health departments, as well as other health-focused organizations such as hospitals, academic centers, and emergency response agencies, to join the TRAIN Course Providers’ Listserv. To join, review the Rules of Conduct and follow the instructions.
