This year's meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 through Thursday, April 28, 2011.

The theme for the 2011 TAC Meeting is “networking”. TAC members will be conducting presentations highlighting several TRAIN features, accomplishments, and initiatives. TRAIN computer training along with other discussion topics will include: TRAIN Team Networking, Mentoring, Demonstration Lightning Rounds and Return on Investments –Calculating Your Savings.

This three day annual in-person meeting provides an opportunity for attendees to exchange information and share resources and ideas about public health distance education.

Since its inception in 2003, TRAIN continues to grow in size and functionality.  The TRAIN Community is currently comprised of 25 affiliates which include 22 states and 3 national organizations (the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Division of Global Migration and Quarantine and the Medical Reserve Corps). Affiliate states and national organizations that are a part of the TRAIN Community are able to develop and assign training plans, track learning, and generate reports.  In addition, there are over 430,000 registered learners and more than 3,750 course providers who have posted over 20,000 trainings/courses.

Attached is a comprehensive booklet that provides an in-depth look at TRAIN. If you have questions please contact Michelle Clausen at [email protected].
