The Core Competencies Workgroup held a virtual meeting on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, from 1-2pm EST. This meeting focused on further exploration of the idea of Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) recognition for discipline-specific competency sets based on the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies), and discussion about a redesign of the collection of examples of Core Competencies use. In addition, updates on the most recent Council on Linkages meeting, the Performance Improvement Competencies project, and the Priority Competencies for Population Health Professionals project were shared, and time was available for Workgroup members to pose Core Competencies-related questions to meeting participants.
